Atlanta, April 10th, 2014 — The Metro Atlanta Association of Professionals announced today its new partner, Joining Hearts, Inc. The 501 (c)(3), all-volunteer, nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing housing support to people living with HIV and AIDS in Atlanta.
MAAP Partnership Director Peter Engelmaier said the organization is “extremely excited to have another pre-eminent” Atlanta organization that is LGBTA and not for profit become partners. “Together we hope to further enrich the lives of the LGBT community. I am personally in awe of the over $1.7 million Joining Hearts has raised to help those with HIV and AIDS.”
Joining Hearts works to raise awareness and funds to provide housing assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS through Atlanta 501(c)(3) nonprofit HIV/AIDS service organizations.
MAAP’s mission is to create an inclusive environment for the Metro Atlanta LGBTA+ community that allows for professional development through networking, high-quality events, training, mentoring and education.
